A Dedication of Love
Built as an act of devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, under her title of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
This site exists for one purpose: to give honor to God through the veneration of His Blessed Mother, and to offer the faithful a quiet, sacred place to pray to Our Lady of Guadalupe each day.
Everything here seeks to be faithful to the teaching of the Catholic Church and to the liturgical calendar as observed in the United States. Marian devotion is never separate from Christ — as the Church teaches, all honor given to Mary leads to the adoration of her Son. She is venerated; He alone is worshipped.
"To Jesus through Mary." May all who visit here be drawn closer to the Sacred Heart of Our Lord through the Immaculate Heart of His Mother.
Through the Centuries
A Devotion Approved by the Church
Our Lady appears to St. Juan Diego on Tepeyac hill; her image is miraculously imprinted on his tilma before Bishop Juan de Zumárraga.
Our Lady of Guadalupe is proclaimed Patroness of Mexico City, and soon after, of all New Spain.
The image is solemnly crowned by decree of Pope Leo XIII.
Pope Pius XII declares Our Lady of Guadalupe Patroness of the Americas.
The liturgical celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 12 is raised to the rank of feast in all dioceses of the United States.
Pope St. John Paul II canonizes Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin, the first indigenous saint of the Americas, at the Basilica of Guadalupe.
